Do you have an Annabelle in your garden as well? The 'Annabelle' hydrangea has become a household name; a hydrangea with enormous growth and flowering power. No fuss when it comes to pruning, it simply blooms from young wood. It always does well. There's just one thing. The flowers are so massive, that the branches will fall flat to the ground if there is heavy rain. And that will make your beautiful garden look a lot less romantic all of a sudden.
A strong Annabelle
Dissatisfied, the breeders at Proven Winners® stepped up and developed 'Strong Annabelle'®. 'Strong Annabelle'® has all the advantages of the original Annabelle, but is infinitely stronger because it has thicker branches. From now on when it's rainy or stormy, the hydrangea and its giant white flowers will continue to stand tall and proud.
So, do want an Annabelle too now? Excellent! But, do yourself a favour and go for a 'Strong Annabelle'®.
Strong, colourful sisters
Proven Winners® is always working to develop better, stronger and more beautiful varieties. The selection of 'Strong Annabelle'® was not only based on flower size and branch strength. We also played around with flower colours. This resulted in four very special new varieties.
'Pink Annabelle'® has bright pink flowers. If you prefer something more classic, maybe the soft pink 'Sweet Annabelle'® is for you. And then we have 'Ruby Annabelle'®, with her beautiful pinkish red flowers. A true discovery and surprise in the garden, is 'Lime Rickey'®. Beautifully round flowerheads in a lime green hue. During a hot summer, surrounded by his coloured neighbours, Lime Rickey is an absolute eye-catcher in the garden.
